We understand this is a stressful time, and we are here to try to make things easier for you. Please review the requirements below before coming in to pick up your vehicle.
Requirements for impound release
To release an impounded vehicle, the person picking it up must provide all required documents. Missing documents can delay release.
- All impound fees must be paid in CASH. No exceptions.
- Proof of ownership: title or registration. Insurance cards will not prove ownership.
- Valid Michigan insurance.
- Valid operator's license. Training permits will not be accepted.

Call ahead so we can confirm your paperwork and next steps before you make the trip. This helps reduce wait time and avoids repeat visits.
Payment reminder: All impound fees must be paid in cash only. No exceptions.
